- Account Information: Email, name, and avatar when you create an account or sign in.
- App Usage Data: Selected language, flashcards created, learning progress, quiz results, and user preferences.
- Identifiers: Device identifiers (such as IDFA) and IP address used for advertising and analytics.
- Diagnostic Data: Crash logs and performance metrics to improve app stability.
- Approximate Location: Determined by your IP address for ad relevance and analytics (no GPS tracking).
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide and personalize your learning experience
- Sync and store your flashcards and progress securely in the cloud
- Improve app functionality and performance
- Display relevant ads and measure ad performance (via AdMob)
- Communicate important updates or support messages
4. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services that may collect limited information automatically.
• Google AdMob (Advertising)
We use Google AdMob to serve ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers (IDFA), approximate location, and usage data to provide and measure ads, prevent fraud, and improve ad quality. Data may be used for tracking across other apps or websites.

• Analytics and Crash Reporting
We may use tools like Google Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics to understand app performance, usage trends, and errors. These tools collect anonymized usage data and crash reports to help improve the app.
5. Tracking and Advertising
With your permission, the app may use Apple’s Advertising Identifier (IDFA) for personalized ads. You can opt out anytime in your device settings under Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
If you prefer, you can disable personalized ads in the app, in which case only non-personalized ads (based on context, not behavior) will be displayed.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
We may share data only:
- With your explicit consent
- When required by law or to protect legal rights
- With trusted service providers for hosting, analytics, and ad delivery (under strict confidentiality agreements)
7. Data Retention
We retain user account data as long as your account remains active. Advertising and analytics data may be retained by third parties (e.g. Google) in accordance with their policies.
When you delete your account, personal information and learning data are permanently removed from our servers.
8. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time via the app:
Menu > Profile > Delete My Account
This will permanently delete your:
- Account and login data
- Flashcards and statistics
- All personal preferences
Deleted data cannot be recovered.
9. Children's Privacy
Vocabulary Dojo is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum legal age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we delete it immediately.
10. International Data Transfers
Our servers and third-party providers may process data in different countries. By using our app, you consent to this transfer, ensuring that appropriate safeguards are in place under applicable privacy laws.
11. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and correct your personal information
- Request data deletion or portability
- Withdraw consent for data processing
- Opt out of personalized ads and tracking
12. Data Security
We use encryption, authentication, and secure cloud infrastructure to protect your data. While we take all reasonable precautions, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
